SETTING UP YOUR SONG WITH A PIANIST

🎹 Setting up your song with an accompanist is a play that happens in 4 A.C.T.S.: ABOUT, CUT, TEMPO, START (in that order)

👀 After looking them in the eye, greeting them, and introducing yourself, say the following:

1️⃣ ABOUT
Name of song, show it’s from, composer/lyricist OR artist/band (pop/rock/R&B)

2️⃣ CUT
Where you start, any internal cuts/repeats you’re taking, where you end

3️⃣ TEMPO
Point, tap, and sing (check out the videos I made on this!)

4️⃣ START
The cue you will give for them to start playing

⭐️ Practice to get this down to 20-30 seconds!
